Fernando J. Ribeiro studied painting and sculpture at the Faculdades of Porto and Lisbon of Fine-Arts.

At individual level has realized recently, among other shows: Close-up (Espaço Alcântara, Porto, 2012), Tell Me My Name (Projeto Contentores, Docas de Alcântara, Lisboa, 2010), Blind Date (Galeria Caroline Pagès, Lisboa, 2010), Horizon and Other Brilliancies (Galeria Presença, Porto, 2009), Untitled: Neons and Chanel (Espaço A Certain Lack of Coherence, Porto, 2009), All Whishes on Sale (Galeria Monumental, Lisboa, 2004).

At colective level has participated recently, among others, in: LAUGHTER: A Serious Exhibition, Museu da Eletricidade, 2012, Contemporary Invasions: Art in Bicentenary of Tower Lines Commemorations (Vila Franca de Xira, 2010, Toxic), and The Excess Speech (Angar K7, Fundição de Oeiras, Oeiras, 2005).

Represented in several galleries and particular collections, and at the Museu de Serralves, Porto (Ivo Martins Collection).
